About Parnell
It has been a pleasure serving my first term in the Maine House of Representatives, bringing your concerns to Augusta, and providing help any way I can. I’ve been serving on the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee as well as the Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee.
I grew up on a farm in rural Waldo County and the University of Maine where I earned a degree in communications/broadcast production. I’ve worked as a fisherman, lobsterman and a facilities maintenance technician, and in my free time I’m co-chair of the Maine Irish Heritage Center and vice president of the Irish American Club of Maine.
I’m passionate about keeping Maine economically accessible for working families, protecting the environment, and increasing green energy, ensuring access to high-quality education, supporting our veterans, and sustainable fisheries and wildlife harvesting.
In my first term I…
Supported school support staff who keep classrooms running
Tackled the invasive species threatening the ecosystems our economy relies on
Addressed high energy costs by promoting new approaches
Protected your privacy
And I’ll keep working on…
Lowering out of control costs
Developing new energy options
Improving our schools
Protecting our environment
